“The more that you read, the more things you will know.

The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” (Dr Seuss)

If you want to make a difference to the lives of young learners by inspiring them through the study of literature and developing their communication skills to become confident citizens of the future, come and join a like-minded faculty of English specialists and enthusiasts.

GCSE English results have been excellent over the last three years. We are looking for a well qualified and enthusiastic teacher of English to join the team and teach the subject across the age and ability range.

The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential and offer enrichment beyond the classroom. Claydon High School provides an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff.

Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex.  We are a small school with 775 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school.  As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.

We look forward to hearing from you.
