Junior Indoor Rowing Championships

National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships 2019

On Friday 15th March students set off very early for the Copper Box Arena in London to take on other students from around the country in an indoor rowing competition. The event was incredibly well organised and had a fantastic atmosphere. Our students performed brilliantly, setting many personal bests but what was most pleasing was how they supported each other when not racing, a true character trait of a Claydon High School student!

All the results will be published in the school's newsletter but there were notable performances from Aaron B (finishing 9th out of 158 competitors) and Alfie S (20th/172). The sprint relay teams also came 4th and 35th out of 82 teams.

A very big 'well done' to all who took part.
