‘Be the best you can be’

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as a Cover Supervisor, working within a strong and supportive team.

The post will involve supporting our teaching staff by providing classroom cover, implementing set work and supporting students in their learning.  Other duties on less busy days will include supporting students in the classroom.

We are looking for a confident, committed and flexible individual with good communication skills.  Ideally the successful candidate will have some relevant experience of working with young people aged 11-16 in an educational setting and have good ICT skills to support learners. This post would be suitable for graduates considering a future career in teaching.

We are happy to consider applications for those who wish for a part time working contract.

Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex.  We are a small school with 773 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school.  As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.

If you would like to have a chat about the post or visit the school please contact Sue Perrotton, the Head’s PA, at the school.
