Administration Assistant - Reception

Permanent contract

Required from January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter

Grade 2   Point 3-4 

Starting salary: £21,102 (actual per annum)

Hours of work: 37 hours per week/40 weeks per year

Working pattern: 8.00am-4.00pm Monday-Thursday & 8.30am-4.00pm Friday (30min unpaid daily break)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as an Administrative Assistant in reception, working within a strong and supportive team in a successful school.  The current postholder has been promoted to a senior role within the school. 

The post will primarily involve working at the school’s reception desk, dealing with visitors, parents/carers and students, both face to face and by telephone.  In addition, the successful applicant will be a first aid point of contact and undertake administrative tasks.

We are looking for a confident, committed and flexible individual with good communication skills.  Ideally the successful candidate will have some relevant experience of working in a busy school or office environment and using a range of IT systems.

Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex.
